Damian Barrett from News.com.au is reporting:

Legendary rock band AC/DC is yet to officially secure Etihad Stadium (in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) as the venue for its sold-out February concerts.

Venue boss Ian Collins last night was unable to confirm the band would play its Black Ice tour gigs at Docklands on February 11, 13 and 15.

As revealed by the Herald Sun in June, the concerts were in doubt because the AFL argued it had priority access to the arena at that time.

"We are working through that and the AFL has an obligation to negotiate in good faith," Collins said.

Asked why he felt that was the case, Collins said: "Well, I don't want to say any more on that."

He also refused to comment on the AFL's claim that it had exclusive contractual claims to the venue in February.

AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou would not comment last night.

In June, Demetriou said the AFL was the only organisation with contractual rights to use Etihad Stadium in February.

"It's not double-booked because I don't think that that second booking (by AC/DC promoters) has any credence whatsoever, because our booking is crystal clear," Demetriou said then of the AFL's decision to hold firm on using the ground for next year's NAB Cup.
