To celebrate the Sunflower Jam 2009, Planet Rock will be auctioning off a unique Epiphone Les Paul Special II signed by the creme de la creme of rock royalty.

Meat Loaf, Jon Lord (DEEP PURPLE), Vince Neil (MÖTLEY CRÜE), Joe Satriani (CHICKENFOOT) and Jack Bruce (CREAM) are just some of the artists who have made their mark on the guitar. The auction begins on August 10th at 10am and ends August 20th at 10am - make sure that you add the following link to your Favourites and head here on Monday, August 10th to find out where to place your bid:

The lucky winner of the auction will not only get to take home the signed guitar, but will also secure a pair of tickets for this year’s Sunflower Jam and will be presented with their prize on stage in front of a star-studded audience.

With 39 signatures in total this is one of the most autographed guitars to go to auction, a real collector’s item and a must have for any die-hard rock fan, so get bidding!

"The Sunflower Jam is a rock’n’roll event that raises much needed funds for various cancer charities. This year the Sunflower Jam 2009 will be raising money for The Holistic Cancer Support and Research Fund, set up and run by The Society for Complementary Medicine ( www.scmhealth.com ) Registered charity number: 801128.

Created back in 2006 by Jacky Paice, the wife of Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice, The Sunflower Jam has raised over $250,000 for charity and become a unique charity event for those with a passion for music.

Since its inception the Sunflower Jam has seen performances from STATUS QUO, Gary Moore, Robert Plant and Paul Wellar. This year Bruce Dickinson (IRON MAIDEN), Don Airey (DEEP PURPLE) and Micky Moody (WHITESNAKE) are just some of the artists who will be appearing.
