STREETLIGHT CIRCUS (formerly DAVID SHAW & THE ROUND TRIP) have issued the following update from David Shaw:

"I just wanted to give you all an update on the state of Streetlight Circus. Some of you have been asking when we will be hitting the stage again or when the new CD is coming out. Believe me, no one is more anxious to get back out there than we are. It’s been a busy summer both professionally and personally for us so your patience has been much appreciated.

We’ve gained a lot of momentum during the recording of this new CD. George has been hard at work on guitar tracks, I’ve been polishing some of the arrangements and lyrics and Erik, having finished most of his drum tracks, has been manning the controls at Snake Mountain Studios and doing a hell of an engineering job.

We have 16 songs nearly completed with vocals and some guitar solos being the final pieces to the puzzle before mixing, mastering and packaging. How many of the new tracks will make the new CD has yet to be determined. But trust me when I say you will not be disappointed. We are very proud of the direction the music has taken and we all have a stake in these songs. This is why we went from being a solo project (David Shaw & The Round Trip) to the true band we are now. These new songs rock hard but maintain the melodic sensibility you have come to expect from us.

Once this CD is completed, hopefully within the next couple months, we will be looking for a rhythm guitarist to join the band and hit the stage with us.
