SAMMY HAGAR Teams Up With Food Network Star Tyler Florence In New Restaurant Venture

According to Stacy Finz from Sfgate.com, CHICKENFOOT frontman SAMMY HAGAR (ex-VAN HALEN) and Tyler Florence of Food Network fame are teaming up on a new restaurant in their hometown of Mill Valley, CA. The two have taken over the El Paseo space (17 Throckmorton Ave.), an upscale restaurant that closed a few days ago.
"It was a French restaurant with a Spanish name owned by a Japanese company," says Florence. "It was a bit of a disconnect here."Florence and Hagar plan to keep the restaurant's name but turn it into an American tavern scheduled to open in December. Florence says the ambience of the venue, built in the 1940s as artists' studios, is perfect.
Their idea is to serve food prepared with ingredients only from Marin County.
