BARONESS’ John Baizley will join Sirius XM Liquid Metal host Jose Mangin today for Hard Files, where the two will discuss the band’s newly released album Blue Record, their upcoming shows and more.

Baroness saw the release of their new album, Blue Record, on Tuesday, October 13th. Blue Record, the follow-up to 2007’s Red Album, was recorded in Dallas, TX with producer / engineer John Congleton. AOL Music is currently hosting a Listening Party for the record, streaming Blue Record in its entirety at this location.

To celebrate the release of Blue Record, Baroness will be playing a MySpace Music Secret Show in Ashville, NC this Friday, October 16th. The Secret Show will include special guests COLISEUM and is presented in part by Citi Forward. Doors for this free event will open at 7:00 pm EST and admission is first-come, first-serve.

Baroness has also announced two home-town album release shows in support of Blue Record on October 17th. The early show will be all ages at Windsor Hall and include guests KYLESA and BLACK TUSK, while the late show will be at The Jinx, both in Savannah, GA. Baroness will then embark on a full US headlining tour in support of the album starting in mid-November. Guests on this month-long tour will include EARTHLESS, TORCHE, PIG DESTROYER, US CHRISTMAS, IRON AGE, and more.
