THE HAUNTED Comment On Upcoming SLAYER Tour

As reported yesterday, Sweden’s thrashers THE HAUNTED have just been confirmed as support act for SLAYER’s full upcoming European club tour in November and December 2009.
The Haunted singer Peter Dolving comments on the tour: "This is great beyond words. Since the very first THE HAUNTED record, we've enjoyed great support from SLAYER and we've talked many times about how cool it would be to support our favorite band in the world. SLAYER are without competition the one band that's inspired and motivated us over the years. I many ways, SLAYER personify the measure by which we live and act as a band, and to finally gut to head out with these dudes is awesome, and fucking beautiful! This is going to be utter complete fucking mayhem!"
This will be Slayer’s first European tour in support of World Painted Blood, the band's first new studio album since 2006's Christ Illusion. The 23-date European assault will begin on November 18th in Nottingham, England and it will be the first time Slayer has toured Europe since they headlined last year's Unholy Alliance Tour, Chapter III. The Haunted continue to promote their critically acclaimed latest studio release Versus.
