BW&BK; has received the following press release:

The legendary rock group KANSAS has seen its fair share of substance abuse in its thirty-five-year career. In an exclusive interview with Sterling Whitaker and Jeb Wright of Long Live Rock on Blog Talk Radio, guitarist Rich Williams shared his insights into the group's past problems, and how sobriety has affected the group.

“It would have to make a difference,” Williams said. “I've had my problems with a lot of drinking, and there's no way that anybody can start doing that, start doing drugs, and then things get better. It all goes the other way. Things go to hell. It might seem clever to you, but it doesn't work. And the grind of the road, you have to take care of yourself. In doing this and figuring out a way to keep this fun and keep it comfortable and of a good quality, we've found a way of doing that.”

The results of the more clean and sober Kansas can be seen on the band's new DVD There's Know Place Like Home, which recently debuted at # 5 in the Billboard charts. Filmed live in the bands hometown of Topeka, accompanied by the Washburn University Orchestra and with special guest appearances by former Kansas members Kerry Livgren and Steve Morse, the DVD is a celebration of the band's entire career, mingling classic hits like 'Carry On Wayward Son', 'Point Of Know Return' and 'Dust In The Wind' with deeper cuts to create the ultimate Kansas live experience.
