Police: Missing METALLICA Fan Morgan Harrington Last Seen Hitchhiking

Officials said today that Morgan Harrington, the 20-year-old missing Virginia Tech student last seen in Charlottesville following a METALLICA concert Oct. 17, was hitchhiking on the Copeley Road bridge in Charlottesville the night she disappeared.
Investigators are confident based on independent witness statements that Harrington was seeking a ride with a passerby, according to a Virginia State Police news release.
“Anyone who might remember seeing a vehicle randomly stopped in the roadway on Copeley Road bridge that night is also asked to contact investigators,” the release said. “Investigators are also hoping to hear from anyone who might have loaned their cell phone to a young woman fitting Miss Harrington’s description to make a call that night.”Harrington has blue eyes and blond hair. She was last seen wearing a black miniskirt, a black T-shirt with the name of metal band PANTERA across the front, black tights, black knee-high boots and a crystal necklace.
