THE ALIEN BLAKK frontman, Joshua Craig, announced today that the special guest on the new release from The Alien Blakk entitled Bekoming, is Mark Hamill of Star Wars fame. Mark Hamill played the role of Luke Skywalker in the largest grossing film franchise in history, Star Wars. This voice over marks the very first time Mark Hamill has been involved in a recording session for a phonograph recording. Mark Hamill does the voice over work on the title track for the song, Bekoming off the album of the same name by, The Alien Blakk.

Bekoming is a 13 song conceptual album, that deals with the story of extreme grief that overtook Joshua through his 13 year journey of coping with the loss of his father, Max M. Podolsky. It took Podolsky over three years to write, conceptualize and record the music on Bekoming. Podolsky is currently drafting a script for his true life story of redemption through music based off of his memoirs and lyrical content on Bekoming. Craig's new book, Mindset & Theologies In Improvisation, about the workings of right brain thinking in improvisation, hits stores in February.

Says Joshua Craig Podolsky: "It felt as if I had one opportunity left in me to try and deal with my inner demons. I had come to an end point and had to cleanse myself of these feelings. My problems of being a sex addict, abusive toward myself and having bizarrely self destructive feelings exited my soul the day I finished the voice over at Mark's house. Once Mark and I were done working together, life seemed to have breathed new air in my lungs. It felt as if I were wiped clean, exalted of my wrong doings and was blessed with a new beginning to start living my life. I was finally allowing myself to not be self destructive and had an epiphany. I finally dealt with my issues in a healthy way that did not involve anger or lying to myself any longer. I was breathing for the first time as a healthy adult. This event changed everything in my life for the better, and I want to share it with the world.

Once these issues were exposed as if I had been cracked open and my work with Mark was complete, my writing of the lyrics for Bekoming just flowed out of me. Conceptually, it goes from me having been with so many women in my life due to the fact that once I met them, I would know they were bad for me, so I would welcome them in my life as I knew that they would overtake my thoughts and would in turn allow me to shut off my feelings about having had lost my father. This would happen more than a few times a week and went on for many years. Over a thousand or so times actually. I dealt with the massive numbers as well as some of the extremely dark and twisted situations I had involved myself in, while attending therapy, group therapy and hypnosis. It feels unbelievable to me now knowing how dark and disturbing my life once was.

People always asked me why I played with so many musical acts and quit every one of them or just moved along so quickly with ease. The reason was, I was always leaving every conceivable situation before it might have run its coarse or had the possibility of ending before I wanted it to. I sabotaged myself, in short. I look back on all the amazing sessions I did with so many great artists and realize that now. Who else goes from tracking for CHRISTINA AGUILERA and XZIBIT to tracking for a METALLICA tribute on a song with Dave Lombardo and Robert Trujillo then shoots off to an audition with Guns N' Roses right after I wrote a song with Rob Halford the day prior? Also, not caring about any of the situations? There's another one tomorrow was always my thought. After years or reflection, today is my new tomorrow and I care with every breathe I take. I care more than ever and show it every second now. It is who I have now been allowed to be and embrace every moment I breathe being afforded the amazing God given gift of music.

The different voice over sections occur a couple of times during the song, Bekoming (off of The Alien Blakk release of the same name). During the more than 9 minute epic song, the voice over work occurs during different mood oriented passages that begin toward the end of the song, to lay groundwork for the lyrical content for the rest of the recordings unique lyrical approach.

The voice over is Mark speaking from my fathers stand point for the initial talking. Later, as the song gets back to a more aggressive feel, he asks me questions as if from beyond the grave and I give my answers back. A back and forth situation that broke through my world like nothing before. The song then goes toward my feelings about this has affected my relationship with my mother. The track ends offering release from my many years of displaced anger and torture. This music was extremely cathartic for me as I am a very private person and I know a lot of people deal with grief in their own way every day. I think this may by why the world can hear this music that deals with anger and grieving and put a spin on it knowing that there can be an end in sight for the sadness of dealing with a loved ones passing."
