AGE OF DESPAIR Stream New Track Online

AGE OF DESPAIR, the Raleigh, NC band featuring Shawn McCoy (CONFESSOR, LOINCLOTH) on guitar, has posted a new song to their MySpace page.
The track, 'Union', was recorded and mixed at Chris Hill’s Recording and Artist Development Studio. Two more tracks to be released over the next few days, 'Way Of The World' and 'En La Sangre'.
As previously reported, the newly completed lineup of Age Of Despain - featuring McCoy, along side Brian Zuccaro (vocals), Marcus Williams (guitar), Ali Lugo (bass) and Abdala Saghir (drums) - has tapped Chris Hill (JAM PAIN SOCIETY, DRILL 187, ACE FREHLEY) to produce the group's forthcoming studio album.
Commented the band: "We think Chris is the next great producer to come out of the Raleigh area along side John Custer (CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, CRY OF LOVE, DAG) and Dick Hodgins (HOOTIE AND THE BLOWFISH, Confessor). Our early report from the studio… “The drums sound like cannons and the guitars are as heavy as tombstones grinding together. Absolutely brutal!"
The group has secured management and is shopping for a label and booking agent that will put the band to work.
Shawn states, "We hope to tour non-stop through 2011 and beyond."
Age Of Despair has scheduled a few one-off shows at Volume 11 in Raleigh, North Carolina on Sunday, March 7th with KITTIE and GOD FORBID and as direct support to OBITUARY on May 29th.
