POWER QUEST Demo 3 Songs For New Album

British melodic power metallers POWER QUEST have issued the following update from Steve Williams ( ):
"We entered Aubitt Studios in Southampton (on Friday, March 26th) to start recording 3 new demos for the new album with Rob Aubrey.The songs we are recording are 'Rising Anew', 'Sacrifice' and 'Time To Burn'.
(Drummer) Rich (Smith) did an amazing job and nailed all 3 songs in a matter of hours! So he gets a couple of days off now... and well deserved too!
Andy (Midgley) start(ed) on guitars at 10 AM (Saturday) morning with bass to be completed (Sunday).
From there I will be recording keyboards at Symphony studio early next week before we add vocals to the mix the following week!"
As previously reported, the band have with singer Pete Morten and guitarist Ben Randall. They have found a new vocalist, who will be announced soon.
Power Quest are currently looking for a new guitarist to join the lineup. A recent band update reads as follows:
"Dedication, commitment and drive are essential as is the ability and desire to tour and rehearse (one weekend per month in the UK) is required. Experience is obviously an advantage but is by no means essential. So if you are a guitarist familiar with Power Quest and influenced by melodic metal and hard rock then here’s what you have to do to apply:Email stevekeys@power-quest.co.uk with your biography, contact details and links to audio and video examples of your playing both in the studio and in the live arena. Those who are shortlisted will be invited to attend an audition in Derby (UK) on Sunday May 2nd. The successful candidate will of course be joining us to record the new album in Italy in July/August this year. Please note no applications will be considered after April 10th."
