German pagan metal veterans EQUILIBRIUM have posted another new song, called 'Der Ewige Sieg', to the band's MySpace profile.

The group have also announced a video shoot for the song.

Commented mainman René Berthiaume: "'Der Ewige Sieg' is about the renewal of nature and mankind at the turn of the year which also is connected to the album title. The video clip for that song will be directed by Florian Puchert. He’s an old friend of the band since I composed the music for some of his movies. Now we’re turning tables and he does the flick for our music. Other than our last video we won’t have that many digital effects in it rather than going for a more organic and realistic look. He and his team have tons of good ideas and we are looking forward to work with him!”

Equilibrium recently launched the Countdown To Recreation! From now the band will post a cool surprise every week until the day of release of their new album, Rekreatur, out on June 18th via Nuclear Blast.

The cover and the tracklist have been posted (click image at left to enlarge). The cover was designed by Alev, who previously did the design for Unbesiegt.

The band previously uploaded another brand new song to their newly designed MySpace page. Says the band, "Since the songs on Rekreatur are way more diverse and varied than ever, it wasn’t an easy decision which song to post first. We chose 'Die Affeninsel' (The Monkey Island) to begin with! But there’s also a reason to it:

Club single artwork contest 'Die Affeninsel' - You’ve got the opportunity to create the cover for the radio- / club-single 'Die Affeninsel'! The best piece will be printed on the sleeve of the single’s cardboard! The winner will also get a signed copy of the single as well as the huge, self made Equilibrium banner that has been with the band on stage for the past years!"

To feed your inspiration, mastermind René Berthiaume shares a bit more info on the song: "'Die Affeninsel' is about an adventure in a land far away where three tests must be passed to fulfil a fraternity pledging. It’s been inspired by an old pirate tale that some gamers of you might know. So free your minds and let the creation flow – we’re looking forward to your works!”
