VENOM Drop Off Bill For Britain's High Voltage Festival

Britain's High Voltage Festival is scheduled for July 24th - 25th at Victoria Park in London.

VENOM's Tour Manager has now announced that because of contractual differences, Venom will not be able to appear at the festival this year.

"We announced the concert in February in good faith and the band are very disappointed that they will not be playing at the festival, although their management are now looking at a possible replacement show in the UK for later this year."

The line-up for the festival is as follows:

Saturday, July 24th - Main Stage: ZZ TOP, HEAVEN & HELL, FOREIGNER, GARY MOORE, THE ANSWER, THE UNION.

Metal Hammer Stage: BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, SAXON, CATHEDRAL, HAMMERFALL, ORANGE GOBLIN, BLACK SPIDERS, NEW DEVICE.

Prog Stage: TRANSATLANTIC, OPETH, ASIA, DWEEZIL ZAPPA, FOCUS, PENDRAGON, TOUCHSTONE.

Sunday, July 25th - Main Stage: EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER, JOE BONAMASSA, BACHMAN & TURNER, UFO, THE QUIREBOYS.

Metal Hammer Stage: DOWN, CLUTCH, HIGH ON FIRE, AUDREY HORNE, LETHARGY.

Prog Stage: MARILLION, ARGENT, URIAH HEEP, MAGNUM, STEVE HACKETT, MARTIN TURNER'S WISHBONE ASH, THE REASONING.

Standard tickets are priced £135 (for weekend tickets) and £75 (for day tickets).
