Click Liverpool has issued the following report from Adam Faulkner:

Flamboyant front-man FREDDIE MERCURY is on the lookout for a new home - in Liverpool.

The 680kg stone statue of QUEEN's iconic leader has stood outside London's Dominion Theatre for nearly a decade but is now moving to the North West.

One of London's theatre landmarks, the giant structure will be arriving in the city ahead of the We Will Rock You musical, which comes to the Empire Theatre this September.

But unfortunately for Freddie and managers at the theatre, there is no space suitable for him.

And Empire general manager Christiaan De Villiers has said that they would love to accommodate the gigantic statue on top of the canopy, but don't have any room.

He added that Freddie could become a visitor attraction in his own right and would be looking for suitable locations around the city.

We Will Rock You UK tour general manager Adam Speers said: “Freddie has become a fixture in London, with thousands of fans and tourists flocking to the Dominion to see him.

“We now would like to find a suitable home for Freddie in the city centre, so the people of Liverpool can see him too.”

If you can help Freddie find a new home call 0151-708 3201 or email jennymorgan@theambassadors.com.
