Olavi Mikkonen, well known as the guitar player from AMON AMARTH had the opportunity to listen to ACCEPT's new album, Blood Of The Nations, which is due out on August 20th in Europe, September 4th in Japan and September 19th in North America.

Here is what he had to say about the album which marks the recording debut of vocalist Mark Tornillo (ex-TT QUICK).

'Beat The Bastards' - "Great opener with a captivating refrain and awesome guitar leads."

'Teutonic Terror' - "It's a instant hit which makes it hard to sit still, simply has all parts a great song should have."

'The Abyss' - "A darker song with pleasant riffing that grabs you and carries you to an awesome refrain. An unexpected part breaks through which leads you back into the abyss."

'Blood Of The Nations' - "Little calmer song that shifts up in different sections, lots of things going on."

'Shades Of Death' - "Also a little calmer song with great harmonies that builds a pleasant tension through the whole song."

'Locked And Loaded' - "Up-tempo song with perhaps best vocal performance, even though Mark is awesome through whole album."

'Kill The Pain' - "Ballad where they present a bluesier side which ends up to be a beautiful song with great leads and vocals."

'Rollin’ Thunder' - "As the title refers, it's a rolling thunderstorm that sweeps in. Speedy strike that makes you break loose."

'Pandemic' - "Fortified rhythm feeling though whole song and a refrain that makes you sing along."

'New World Coming' - "Distorted bass intro that passes over to a guitar riff that is metal as it's best. Sure, there are some obvious similarities to especially one older song, but who cares now when there are two to enjoy."

'No Shelter' - "Rapid song that goes straight to the point."

'Bucketful Of Hate' - "Definite and strict guitar riff starts the last song with a captivating and catchy refrain. Good way to end a brilliant album."

"Small summary. Great songs that are performed with true delight, stunning guitar leads through whole album and Marks vocals fit the band perfectly. Super tight and complete production."

Blood Of The Nations was recorded at Backstage Studio in Derbyshire, England with acclaimed British producer and SABBAT guitarist Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY, MASTERPLAN).
