GLYDER guitarist BAT KINANE releases a new solo album, A Lifetime To Kill, in Ireland tomorrow (October 1st). The album will be released in other territories over the coming months, and can be purchased via Paypal from BatKinane.com.

Bat Kinane comes from Ballyknockan, Co Wicklow, a granite village with a rich heritage in stone and music. He picked up the guitar at thirteen years of age inspired by the music and words of PHIL LYNOTT. Almost immediately Bat began to write songs. He played in many bands over the years the most successful being Glyder who are one of Ireland's top hard rock outfits.

In Glyder, Bat has released three critically acclaimed albums, the latest - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow - which is released on top European hard rock label SPV. Glyder have toured Europe many times and have opened for top international acts like SLASH and METALLICA.

During some off time from Glyder Bat continued to pursue his passion for creating music. The end result is an eclectic album of rock, folk and blues called A Lifetime To Kill.

Bat takes to the microphone for the first time and has some guest musicians working with him including Rob Strong, Dave Roe (Johnny Cash/Kris Kristofferson), and Pat Mc Manus (ex-MAMAS BOYS). Rob is a friend and neighbour and Pat has become a friend from treading the same paths over the years. Bat made his acquaintance with Dave Roe, Johnny Cash’s sideman in Nashville in 2009.

John Creedon RTE1 brought the album to the attention of the Irish nation through his radio show by playing some tracks over the summer months while the album was still unreleased. The album also made album of the week on Roddie Cleere's Irish music show on WLRfm and six tracks were played over the night. The track 'Stage Struck 74', a tribute to RORY GALLAGHER, has gained the attention all over the globe from blog and fan sites.
