ProgRock Records and QuiXote-Music have announced a new strategic partnership where ProgRock Records will distribute QuiXote-Music's new release from POOR GENETIC MATERIAL's Island Noises, a double concept CD that is a creative re-magining of William Shakespeare's play, The Tempest.

Shawn Gordon, president of ProgRock Records, comments: “I’ve known and worked with Philipp and QuiXote almost since the time I founded the label and I’ve long admired his work and ethics, so it’s a real pleasure to be able to work with him on this ambitious release.”.

Philipp Jaehne, president of QuiXote-Music and keyboardist of Poor Genetic Material adds: "We've known Shawn Gordon for a couple of years now and ever since we met him, it was always clear that if we wanted to have a partner label, it would have to be ProgRock Records. Now we've got a release that it makes sense to team up for and we are looking forward to a great partnership.".

Island Noises is available for immediate pre-ordering with a $2 discount during the pre-sale period at this location and will ship in early December 2010. It will be available at retail worldwide on February 8, 2011.
