Reminder: VINNY APPICE, RUDY SARZO, CARLOS CAVAZO, MARK SLAUGHTER To Perform At Jailhouse Rock Benefit In Nashville Today

Today (December 5th), hard rock and heavy metal musicians will come together at 12th & Porter in Nashville for Jailhouse Rock, a concert benefiting the Literary Council of Williamson County.
Vinny Appice, Carlos Cavazo, Rudy Sarzo, Scot Warren and Chas West — who've played with acts including BLACK SABBATH, DIO, WHITESNAKE, RATT, OZZY OSBOURNE and QUIET RIOT — will perform to raise funds and awareness for the Literacy Council's GED and education programs, which provide education assistance for county prison inmates.
"This is about helping human beings who are stuck in a cycle," said Brent Ware, who initiated the benefit. "If you don't have an education ... even a GED ... you aren't able to successfully apply for most jobs. This creates a sense of hopelessness, which often sets the stage for the person to head back again to the lowest-common-denominator situation."Read more here.
