BILLY IDOL / CAMP FREDDY guitarist Billy Morrison has checked in with the following update:

"Sunday morning (March 6th) here in Los Angeles - the sun is shining and I'm getting ready to hit the road with my H.F.C.C. brothers for some two wheeled therapy. It's a day off for me, between the Camp Freddy Washington DC show and the upcoming Las Vegas show on Tuesday. We leave town tomorrow to get into Vegas early and soundcheck so the bag is still packed from DC on the floor next to me.

The trip to DC was pretty memorable - I was never invited to Buckingham Palace when I lived in the UK, but we were invited to do a private tour of the White House while we were in town and it was pretty cool. I was fascinated by all the scary looking dudes in shades and matching suits, ear-pieces in, observing everything. Probably watched too much 24 in my time, but I was concentrating on them way more than the intricate floral designs in every room. The show itself was a stormer - the place was packed and doing 'Youth Gone Wild' with SEBASTIAN BACH was a personal highlight, as was 'Enter Sandman' with Sully. It never ceases to amaze me just how much fun performing music can be - and especially in Camp Freddy, where the attitude and vibe is very special. Next year will be the tenth anniversary of the band. If we keep it together that long, you can expect some fun shit from us!

There's a lot of talk/rumors/balls in the air regarding the rest of 2011 for me. I've learnt to keep my head down, be patient, and see where it all lands. But all of it is good, fun, exciting stuff, so whatever way the cards land, I think the year is going to be a good one. I will, of course, post all the details on here first, once things get solidified. It's funny - the life I chose all those years ago has so many highs, so many amazing moments that are worth every minute of uncertainty. But it never gets any easier not knowing whats coming. It's one thing when the tour is rolling, you know where you need to be, what to play and whats coming up next. But the periods of transition, from one thing to the next, can be traumatizing! I wouldn't have any of it any other way - but there is definitely a skill that has to be learnt in this business.....the skill of patience. I am dying to talk about a couple of things, but I know that's usually the kiss of death, so I shall continue to truck on, doing whatever it is I do, and focus on the next thing in front of me.

Life has been a hell of a ride so far, and today, with the sunshine streaming through my windows, my wife asleep in the next room, my bike downstairs waiting for me, the post gig feeling from DC and the anticipation of the next show in Vegas, I feel happy, lucky and content. I truly hope you feel the same way."

As previously reported, Sebastian Bach, MOTÖRHEAD frontman Lemmy Kilmister and Jason Bonham (LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE) were among the guests that joined Camp Freddy on Monday, January 24th at Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, CA for a benefit event to create awareness and raise positive vibes in celebration of breast cancer survivor Carolyne Williams.
