As the tragic events unfold in Japan, EXTREME check in with the following message:
"We are painfully shocked and devastated from the earthquake/tsunami disaster that has rocked your beautiful and precious country. The images we are seeing are heartbreaking. We hope that each and every one of you are OK and that your friends and loved ones are safe.Extreme has always considered Japan our home away from home and we will remain united in support during this difficult tragedy."
According to Wikipedia, the 2011 Sendai earthquake and tsunami was a 9.0 megathrust earthquake off the coast of Japan that occurred at 14:46 JST on Friday, March 11th which triggered tsunami warnings and evacuations from Japan's Pacific coast and at least 20 countries, including the entire Pacific coast of North America and South America. The earthquake created tsunami waves of up to 10 meters (33 ft) that struck Japan.
