hot flashes news vile

California-based death/black metallers VILE check in with the following news:

"Metamorphosis is finished. Colin (Davis) is mastering the album and putting the final finishing touches on the last mixes. We have released one new song for the moment. You can hear 'Prophetic Betrayal' on our MySpace page, our Reverbnation
profile, and on Colin's personal Facebook band page.

You can also hear the track below:

'Prophetic Betrayal'

Metamorphosis is a concept album which contains a wide variety of styles, tempos and lyrical topics with an interlocking philosophical and lyrical concept. The lyrics for 'Prophetic Betrayal' can be viewed here (let us know what you think the song is about on our Facebook or Myspace pages... hint... no its not satanic...).

At this time we are considering all of our options for the release of Metamorphosis which we plan to take place by the fall of 2011. Parties interested in discussing licensing are encouraged to get in touch with Colin Davis through the contact page or through any of the other Vile pages.

On our several webpages, we have hinted at the new artwork for Metamorphosis and will release the full art when strategically appropriate. More news is to be forthcoming; another song may be released down the line, the full artwork, and any updates regarding tours or other items that may interest you. So please check back here or on our other pages for this news.

We want to thank all who have supported Vile over the years and patiently awaited the release of our 4th full length. We are confident that old-school Vile fans will love it and also that fans of other styles of metal, not only American death metal, will be quite pleased. The recording quality is the best we have released to date and we expect the album to be a standard raising release for the genre of extreme metal."
