The Daily Rock's Hank Pearl interviews Paul Allender of British extreme metal group CRADLE OF FILTH before a performance at the House of Blues Chicago.

After touching base on the state of the tour and the increasingly gruesome pits at the shows, Allender discusses in depth his extensive martial arts conditioning, his history of training British police in hand-to-hand combat, etc., and how it all has come to influence his mind and method of creating some of Cradle Of Filth's musical stylings.
