Albany, New York-based metallists ADDICTED TO PAIN's self-titled EP released late last year was overseen by renowned heavy metal producer Alex Perialas (ANTHRAX, S.O.D., TESTAMENT). The union between band and producer went so well that this will be the same team the works on the group's next release – a full-length affair.

"Producing the record is Alex Perialas, who produced our first EP which was released September 2010," explains the band's bassist, Bob Horvath. "We didn't blink an eye when we were asked who the producer will be for our next record. Hear N Now records will be releasing our full length. Hoping to be done mid-summer."

And it has also been announced that the band (which also includes singer/guitarist Leo Curley and drummer Gregory Nash) will be opening up a handful of shows for east coast metal greats THE RODS.

Horvath: "We're excited to be playing with the legendary band the Rods. Starting the end of May into June, ATP will be opening for the Rods on some of their northeastern tour dates. We're taking a break from our writing sessions for our first full length record."

Curley: "Auburn, Ithaca, Wilkes-Barre. The pushers are coming to town. And you will be an addict - Addicted to Pain! Hope you're ready for a good old stage-pounding. The Rods and Addicted to Pain are coming to tear it apart! Really looking forward to finishing the full-length CD this summer. These shows will be a little added inspiration for pounding it out!"

And according to the band's bassist, you'd be a fool not to catch an upcoming performance from Addicted To Pain. "Get your ass out there so you can see one of the best up and coming bands...Addicted To Pain!"
