Rock Of Ages Begins Filming

According to About.com, New Line Cinema's announced principal photography has begun on Rock Of Ages. The big screen adaptation of the successful Broadway musical is being directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray), with Chris D'Arienzo adapting his musical.
The Rock of Ages cast includes Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Paul Giamatti, Russell Brand, Mary J Blige, Malin Akerman, Bryan Cranston, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Alec Baldwin. Diego Boneta will be making his feature film debut with a starring role in Rock of Ages.
The musical features rock numbers by DEF LEPPARD, JOAN JETT, JOURNEY, FOREIGNER, BON JOVI, NIGHT RANGER, REO SPEEDWAGON, PAT BENATAR, TWISTED SISTER, POISON and WHITESNAKE.
Filming is currently underway in Florida. New Line's set a June 1, 2012 release date.
