In its ongoing program of reissuing classic rock and pop albums, Audio Fidelity have released a 24 Karat Gold CD version of BAD COMPANY's 1975 album, Straight Shooter.

The disc is issued as numbered, limited edition that will be retired after it's initial run has sold out, and will be available from both online and brick-and-mortar retail outlets.

Straight Shooter was the sophomore album by British hard-rockers Bad Company. Released in April of 1975, it earned the quartet of Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs, Simon Kirke and Boz Burrell its third and fourth hit singles: 'Good Lovin' Gone Bad' (penned by guitarist Ralphs) and 'Feel Like Makin' Love' (a Ralphs co-write with vocalist/guitarist Rodgers). The latter track was a Top 10 hit and has enjoyed a storied pop-culture legacy, having been covered by, among others, KID ROCK, ska-punkers GOLDFINGER and country singer PHILIP CLAYPOOL, and used on episodes of The Simpsons and South Park. In addition to the singles, the album contained the FM-rock-radio staples 'Deal with the Preacher' and 'Shooting Star' (which Simon Kirke and Mick Ralphs have explained was inspired by the deaths of JIMI HENDRIX, JANIS JOPLIN and JIM MORRISON). Straight Shooter climbed to #3 on both the US and UK charts and was subsequently certified for triple-Platinum status. Bad Company produced the album, which was engineered and mixed by Ron Nevison, whose credits include THE WHO's Quadrophenia and the ROLLING STONES' It's Only Rock 'N Roll.

As previously reported, when Bad Company performed at the historic British venue Wembley Arena in London on a beautiful April 2010 spring night, high-definition cameras captured the whole evening in all its glory. On June 28th, Eagle Rock Entertainment will release Live At Wembley simultaneously on DVD, Blu-Ray and CD, through its Eagle Vision and Eagle Records imprints.

There was magic in the air as all three original Bad Company members—vocalist extraordinaire Paul Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs and drummer Simon Kirke—are augmented by bassist Lynn Sorensen and guitarist Howard Leese. (Original bassist Boz Burrell died in 2006.)

The set list is packed with every major hit, fan favorites and seldom-heard deep album cuts. The DVD and Blu-Ray includes a band interview.

Bad Company burst upon the rock’n’roll scene in 1973, and was immediately dubbed a super-group by fans and press alike, as its members all came from very successful popular bands: FREE (Rodgers and Kirke), MOTT THE HOOPLE (Ralphs) and KING CRIMSON (Burrell). They lived up to the hype for nine straight years with a string of six soulful hard-rocking albums. After a four-year break, they got back together minus Rodgers (who had formed THE FIRM with Jimmy Page). Rodgers returned in 1999.
