Belgian death metal lunatics ABORTED recently wrapped up all work on the band’s upcoming seventh studio album, Global Flatline. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by the infamous Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, PESTILENCE, HATESPHERE) at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark this summer.

Global Flatline will be released on January 23rd in Europe and January 24th in North America via Century Media Records. In anticipation of the album’s release, the band is now giving fans a horrific preview of Global Flatline in their new teaser trailer. Check it out below:

The album will contain 12 tracks for the regular jewel case edition and 14 tracks on the limited edition digipack, both to be released on Century Media Records in January 2012. Artwork has once again been handled by the gruesome Justin Osbourn from Slasher Design and contains some of the most horrid, putrid and disgusting art the band has displayed to date, perfectly visualizing the album’s title and lyrical concept.

Century Media will release a digital single of the title track, 'Global Flatline', on October 15th.

Furthermore, Global Flatline features several guest vocalists: Trevor Strnad from THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, Julien Truchan of BENIGHTED, Jason Netherton of MISERY INDEX and Keiijo Niinima from ROTTEN SOUND, here’s what they say about being part of this release:

Jason Netherton: "When I got the track for the guest vocals, we loaded the files up and immediately our ears melted! A face-ripping, next-level entry for a new decade of death metal, it was a sheer pleasure to contribute some screams, and I am completely stoked to hear the entire album as soon as it drops!"

Trevor Strnad: "It's a pleasure to offer my vocals to Sven and the guys... The new material is fucking sick and I'm glad they would let me be a small part of it. Cheers to the masters of gore, Aborted!"

A video for the track 'Origin Of Disease' was shot in the UK this summer with director Phil Berridge.
