hot flashes news as lay dying

AS I LAY DYING recently released a new video for their take on the JUDAS PRIEST classic 'Electric Eye'. The song appears on the recently released EP, Decas, which marks the band’s 10 year anniversary. As I Lay Dying has now released a behind-the-scenes clip from the video shoot. Check them both out below:

The clip was shot with director Paul Brown (MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, STAIND, STONE SOUR) at El Mirage Lake, a dry lake bed in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California.

"After a long day of sunburns and drought out in the desert I'm glad to be done fighting scorpions for the filming of Electric Eye. We came out victorious, but we probably couldn't have done it without the classic metal inspiration of Halford and Priest's legendary guitar melodies," explains frontman Tim Lambesis.

Decas, the new album from San Diego, California's As I Lay Dying debuted at # 61 on the American Billboard 200 chart. Decas also entered the official German album charts at # 80 and the Canadian album charts at # 55.

With over a million units sold in the US in just less than 10 years, As I Lay Dying celebrated this milestone with the very special release, Decas, released on November 8th in North America and November 7thy in Europe (except in Germany, Austria and Switzerland where it arrived three days earlier).

The Decas EP also features three brand new songs, three additional covers that pay homage to just a few of the bands that have influenced As I Lay Dying, and four remixes.

As I Lay Dying kicked off their headline run on the A Decade Of Destruction Tour on November 30th with OF MICE & MEN, THE GHOST INSIDE, I WRESTLED A BEAR ONCE and SYLOSIS. Remaining dates are as follows:

December

14 - Phoenix, AZ - Venue Of Scottsdale
