British metal heavyweights BEHOLDER have announced The Black Flag UK Tour, set for March, showcasing an array of new material alongside tracks from Beholder’s previous two releases in a full length headline show. In true Beholder style this promises to be one of the most genuinely hard hitting underground tours for 2012.

Momentarily turning away from the industry standard practice of generic support slots the band will be looking to local supports and giving them the platform that is required within the UK metal scene – details are all to be found on our official sites but names thus far include WARLORD UK, ANIHILATED, SANITY BURNS, HAERKEN, UNDER BLACKENED SKIES and many more.

Tour dates:

March

1 - Birmingham, UK - Roadhouse
2 - Mansfield, UK - Intake
3 - Nuneaton, UK - Queens Hall
4 - Stoke, UK - Green Star
9 - Glasgow, UK - Ivory Blacks
10 - Selby, UK - Riverside
16 - Merseyside, UK - Revolver
17 - Grimsby, UK - Yardbirds
30 - Blackpool, UK - The Tache

April

7 - Maidstone, UK - Pandemodium Club
8 - Exeter, UK - Cavern
9 - Bristol, UK - Fleece

2011 witnessed Beholder rise amongst the ranks as one of the premier live shows being awarded Album of the Year by Metal Gods TV along with a string of dates in both the UK and Europe and finishing with headline set at the UK's premier metal fest, Bloodstock Open Air, and more recently a number of sell out shows at the end of 2011.

Following on from 2009's The Awakening - Black Flag (tentatively due for late spring 2012) is more aggressive, more hard hitting and yet retaining the true Beholder sound and lyrically it points the finger and spits the truth about the current situation we find ourselves in – both as individuals and as a world at large.

Frontman Simon Hall commented: “We’ve taken all our frustrations out on this album and when you consider the state of the Nation, the Planet and the holes in my socks – then we got plenty to go at!”

The recording process is well under way with the band taking the helm and casting a watchful eye on all, yet various notables from the industry are throwing their collective hats into the ring to make this the Metal soundtrack to a troubled time.

Track titles thus far include:

'Liar'

'Black Flag'

'This Blackened Earth'

'Toxic Nation'

'Here I Stand'

'Killing Machine'

'The Tale Of Eleanor Grey'

'Splinter'

'Morphine Serenity'

'Profit Of The Lie'

'Footprints In The Sand'

'From The Ashes Rise' (instrumental)
