hot flashes news blue skies bring tears

Swedish metallers BLUE SKIES BRING TEARS' new album, Anomaly, is now available worldwide.

Blue Skies Bring Tears is the creation of Andreas Ottosson (bass), August Lengquist (drums), Christian Ahlsén (guitars) and Niklas Ottosson (vocals, guitars).

Blue Skies Bring Tears saw first light when the band put together its first demo in 2004. It was recorded with an eight track tape recorder and mixed on the analog table available in an ancient but free of charge studio. Even though eight different songs were recorded only five tracks eventually made it onto the CD, of which all but one lived on to make it onto Anomaly.

The band kept writing songs and continued to work in the home studio environment to record both a second and a third demo in the following years. These CDs came to contain some old songs in new versions and some completely new songs that are still “in stock” but have yet to be recorded for a professional album. During this time the band performed smaller gigs for their friends and a couple of shows at local venues in the town of Västervik. The latest demo was also sent to several magazines and webzines and received all over positive reviews.

During the fall of 2009 the work on a full length album begun. The band now ventured into a professional studio. As they had now acquired enough knowledge of what they were aiming for, they managed to work together with the owner and studio manager Mattias Thunell to put together the album; Anomaly. The result was the group’s best composition to date and with this material the band also performed at shows during 2010.
