In a new audio interview with Jo Schüftan of Horns Up Rocks!, TESTAMENT singer Chuck Billy discusses the band's future plans, including their drummer situation and the production of their new music video.

Says Chuck in regards to the possibility of Gene "The Atomic Clock" Hoglan (DARK ANGEL, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, FEAR FACTORY) permanently replacing seriously injured drummer Paul Bostaph: "We'd like him to be, but I think right now we're just taking it tour by tour. We don't know yet. We just kind of unexpectedly had to do this tour before the record came out, so we haven't really thought about it yet."

Listen to the interview below:

Testament recruited Hoglan to sit behind the kit for their current tour with ANTHRAX and DEATH ANGEL which kicked off on January 22nd in Las Vegas, NV.

Remaining dates are as follows:

February

3 - Promowest Pavilion - Columbus, OH
6 - Crocodile Rock - Allentown, PA
7 - Rams Head Live! - Baltimore, MD
8 - Best Buy Theatre - New York, NY

In a recent interview with SoundSpike, Chuck Billy discusses the band's forthcoming new album, Dark Roots Of Earth, expected on April 27th. An excerpt follows:

"We've always been a planet-conscious band," Billy told SoundSpike. "Now that we have pretty close to the original lineup - with Alex (Skolnick, lead guitarist) and Greg (Christian, bassist) back in it - it's almost like going back to our roots. It's like all of us connecting, joining as one to the planet."

The album, expected to be released on April 27th, offers a "true Testament sound," Billy explained.

"It's kind of like where we left off with the last record, except I think there are some more songs that aren't as thrashy," he said. "But they're definitely metal. I don't know how to describe it. I keep saying you don't really have to be a metalhead to enjoy some of these songs that we got. There's just really good songs on the record. It's a little different."
