KATATONIA Guitarist Anders Nyström Explains Absence From Russian Shows; Band Reveal New Album Title

KATATONIA guitarist Anders Nyström has issued the following statement in regards to missing the band's Russian dates - May

27 at Arctica Club in St Petersburg and May 28th at Milk Club in Moscow:

"I'm sorry I couldn't make it to Russia my friends. I'm still running on low capacity here trying to recover as quick as I can because there's much action coming up that needs me back in shape, but thanks for all yer get well wishes. It speeds things up!

Also from what I heard already, the guys did a good job performing without me last night... maybe too good ;) Hope you give them a big welcome at the Moscow gig tonight alright?

We revealed the album title today and it was extremely entertaining reading all your comments and theories during these 12 days of "trailer teasing". In a few hours there'll be even more exciting news in another announcement on the Katatonia FB page and you don't wanna miss that!"

Katatonia have revealed Dead End Kings as the title of their new album, due for release on August 27th in Europe, August 28th in North America.

The band recently checked in with the following update in regards to the album: "Remember we revealed there would be a guest on the new album making a duet with Jonas on one of the songs? We're proud to give you her name now, our friend Silje Wergeland, currently the singer in THE GATHERING. A beautiful fit in every way!"
