RIVAL SONS have confirmed dates for a European headlining tour, which kicks off on September 21st with nine shows in the UK, before moving on to continental Europe.

Drummer Michael Miley comments: "Hey y'all! It's SOO good to be home, back in sunny Los Angeles... Getting some much needed rest after the Pressure & Time onslaught. We had so much fun this summer - and the last year as well - in Europe and UK. September 17th marks the new chapter for Rival Sons. SOO looking forward to playing the new material for ya's. Our autumn tour dates will be announced soon. Thanks to all our awesome super fans. See you soon!"

Guitarist Scott Holiday adds: "This last tour was definitely our most successful yet. All the headline shows were at capacity, support shows with kick-ass bands and the festivals were extremely great to us... Great slots, huge crowds, and got to connect and play with some of our favorite bands as well as meet a ton of new great ones. Making lots of new friends. We also got to play some unbelievable new places. The whole tour was basically a complete onslaught of radicalness. Looking forward to coming back through to all these places in support of the new record this next year. People are always graciously telling us these amazing things like, 'you guys have made me believe rock 'n' roll isn't dead'... 'You guys are the future of rock 'n' roll' etc. But I can wholeheartedly say, the reaction we got from the crowd on this tour reinstated my firm belief that people really want, even NEED rock 'n' roll in their lives."

Rival Sons frontman Jay Buchanan explains the album title: "We took a lyric from one of the songs that exemplified the process of making the record. Head Down comes from the term 'Keep your head down and keep on swinging'. I thought it was fitting and it works perfectly with the album cover."

Rival Sons guitarist Scott Holiday discusses the album artwork: "I began searching for the right artist for our cover on the interwebs, just mulling around, and very quickly came across Jason Holley. I saw a couple of covers that he had done for Josh Ritter and Ray LaMontagne which I loved. I was immediately taken aback by his aesthetic and style and felt he had a few pieces already done that I would be into using. I sent some of his images over to Jay and he had the same immediate feeling I did... Which is pretty rare. He could have been from anywhere in the world, but he just so happened to live about 30 minutes away from me, so I gave him a ring and we started talking. We sent him the record and discussed ideas that we felt reflected the music and process. He then created an original piece, painted in oil. The end result is pretty symbolic and interesting - something that, in my opinion, reflects the record beautifully."

Rival Sons' new video, for the track 'Face Of Light', is now online. The video sees a softer side of the band as they go through the beautiful scenery of the Peak District in the English countryside. The video was filmed with director Dan Ruttley during the band's recent sold-out UK tour with BLACK STONE CHERRY.

Frontman Jay Buchanan comments: "I am happy to say that our record Pressure & Time is about to give us our third single with the song 'Face Of Light'. This is a very special song to us and I am delighted to put out a single with a positive message that can still break a tooth. Three singles from one record; I am so thankful for the support we've been shown. This will more than likely be our last single from the P&T; record, so it's a fitting farewell to an unforgettable year with a song so personally close to the vest for me."
