AMANDA SOMERVILLE On The Reality Of Touring - "The Promoters Only Want Someone They're Not Going To Lose Money On, And We Musicians Depend On Those Promoters"

In a recent Facebook post, vocalist AMANDA SOMERVILLE (TRILLIUM, AVANTASIA) answered a fan's question about the possibility of Trillium touring Brazil in the near future, offering up a simple reality of the music business:
"Of course I would love to tour Brazil and am doing all I can to make that happen. Perhaps it will be in 2013, but that all depends on you guys and how much of a demand for Trillium there is in your home country. That's the way this business goes; the promoters only want someone they're not going to lose money on (read: they need to make money!), as crass as that sounds, and we musicians depend on those promoters. So, please, if you wish to have us there, then do all you can to help support and promote us by spreading the word to everyone you know. That's the only way we'll be able to come over! Thank you! xox."
As previously reported, Trillium will support veteran British rockers MAGNUM on their upcoming UK tour this November. Dates are as follows:
