QUEENSRŸCHE, now featuring frontman Todd La Torre, who replaced Geoff Tate, are currently getting ready to begin work on their new album, which is due early next year. The album will be produced by James Barton, the same engineer that worked on Operation: Mindcrime.

La Torre has now released the following update:

“Wishing everyone a great week/weekend, and for those residing in the US, a wonderful Thanksgiving. Recording starts in a little over one week, super excited!! FYI, it's not a ‘power metal’ album, but I do land some siiiiiiiick screams here and there that would rival blinded, if not higher, but only in tasty spots. This is by no means a ‘screaming’ record, it's Queensrÿche. The boys are working out the finishing details before tracking, and we are hopeful you will love what we have in store for you. James Barton is sure to capture and engineer the wonderful quality that is synonymous with his name.”
