TWISTED SISTER will headline a special holiday concert next month on their native Long Island, New York, that will benefit a number of charities aiding people affected by Hurricane Sandy. The show will take place on December 16th at The Emporium in Patchogue, New York.

The heavy metal veterans will play a 90-minute set at the event, and will be joined by various other as-yet-unannounced acts. The Emporium has contributed $10,000 upfront to the cause, and is hoping to raise a total of $100,000. The venue will donate all proceeds brought in from ticket and bar sales, with 25 percent going to Long Island Cares, Inc. - The Harry Chapin Food Bank, another 25 percent benefiting the Island Park Music Program and half of the funds going directly to local residents needing financial support.

"We are excited to be able to show our love to the people of Long Island who have been impacted by this storm and bring them a rock show for the ages," says Twisted Sister guitarist JJ French. "This is certainly going to be a night to remember."

Tickets are on sale now for the show for $40. Pricier VIP passes and packages also are available offering bonuses such as signed posters, CDs and DVDs, as well as the opportunity to meet and take photos with the band.
