MEGADETH’s Dave Mustaine To Take Part In Holiday Cyber Army Chat This Friday

MEGADETH frontman Dave Mustaine will take part in a special holiday online chat at the Megadeth Cyber Army, live from Vic's Garage on Friday, December 21st at 4PM PT (24:00 GMT).

Mustaine will also be releasing a sound clip from the new album for club members to check out while in the chat room. This is a fan-club-members-only chat. You must be a member of the Megadeth Cyber Army to participate.

Megadeth are back at work on their 14th studio album, with producer Johnny K (aka John Karkazis).

Mustaine tweets: "Johnny made it in. Record 14 is officially underway. Clips to upload tomorrow. Thrashin' time!"

Megadeth's new album is expected in early 2013, via a label to be announced. The band recently parted ways with Roadrunner Records. A message (released on December 10th) from Mustaine states: "Today marks the end of an era with Roadrunner. Hopefully we can finish strong with a Grammy."

Megadeth, IRON MAIDEN, HALESTORM, ANTHRAX, LAMB OF GOD and MARILYN MANSON have been recognized for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, which will be held in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, February 10th at the Staples Center. They have been nominated for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance:

For the fifth year, nominations for the annual Grammy Awards were announced on primetime television as part of The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! — Countdown To Music's Biggest Night, a one-hour CBS entertainment special broadcast live for the first time ever at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

The 55th annual Grammy Awards will be held on "Grammy Sunday," Sunday, February 10, 2013, (8:00-11:30 p.m., live ET/delayed PT) at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
