During a recent in-depth interview with Believer Magazine covering his various musical pursuits, FAITH NO MORE frontman Mike Patton commented on the band's reunion:

"It's sort of petered out," says Patton. "We're also maybe a little too conscious for our own good. Meaning there's a lineage of bands that maybe did some nice things and then needed the cash and got back together and basically just sprayed diarrhea over their entire body of work. We're very worried about that. We don't want to overdo it.”

Back in August 2012, Patton spoke with Australia's News.com about his MONDO CANE project and commented on Faith No More's future:

"We're pretty happy with just touring. There was talk, 'Should we write new stuff?' and we all looked at each other and said 'Nahhh, fuck it.' We did work up one new little thing ('Matador' is on Hit's Facebook page) and that was really energising."

According to the inteview, while FNM have no tour plans, Patton wanted to get back to finishing off TOMAHAWK's "crazy BEACH BOYS shit" record and tour Australia twice.
