Although of poor VHS quality, this interview is well worth seeing as Ian Gillan and Jon Lord discuss the recent release of Perfect Strangers in November 1984 on the UK BBC2 Show The Old Grey Whistle Test. The infuriating and mindless questions led to Ian and Jon walking offset during the video playback!
The Return Of The Knebworth Fayre on June 22nd, 1985 - Purple's first UK show since 1976, and a major gig for the band featuring Ian Gillan, Jon Lord, Ian Paice, Roger Glover and Ritchie Blackmore. This interview piece was taken from local TV at the time. Check out David Coverdale at the start of the interview who was about to launch one of the great rock albums not long after with Whitesnake 1987.
