TODD KERNS - whose resume includes AGE OF ELECTRIC, STATIC IN STEREO, SIN CITY SINNERS, and SLASH - recently stopped by Vancouver radio station 99.3 The Fox to promote his new solo album, Borrowing Trouble. While there, Todd performed 'The Devil In Me' acoustically, live on-air.

"The music for 'The Devil In Me' has been floating around for a while but never had full lyrics attached to it until Borrowing Trouble came into focus," reveals Todd. "It began as essentially an acoustic guitar and a vocal and grew to include an electric sitar and a little Marco Pirroni electric guitar. I say Marco Pirroni as he was the guitar player for ADAM AND THE ANTS and had an affinity for those big, hollow body, tremolo tones. I have a very good idea how this song will translate into full electric with drums etc. and I think that will be a whole new level of excitement. Well, for me anyway.

This song is essentially about the struggle we all face within ourselves. Struggles with temptation be it chemical or physical. Especially physical. We like to lay blame elsewhere when the responsibility falls squarely on ourselves. I suppose it’s easier to lay the blame on ‘the devil within.’ We all have right and wrong within us. Unfortunately wrong is usually so much more fun."

Borrowing Trouble consists of the following 12 songs:

Side One

'Nothing Personal'

'The Devil In Me'

'The Maker'

'This Changes Everything'

'It’s Always Been You'

'Hey Summer'

Side Two

'Hideous'

'So Close So Far'

'So Scandalous'

'Come Back To Bed'

'Magdalena'

'You Can Always Go Home'
