METALLICA guitarist/vocalist James Hetfield was interviewed by Adam Graham by The Detroit News to talk about Orion Fest 2014 and making new music next year. About a new album, Hetfield said: “We want to make a record, that’s what we do best and that’s what we’ve gotta do in springtime. We’ve got skeleton bones that we’re starting to lay out to make something out of it, but there’s a lot of work ahead of us that we’re really excited about doing. And that will be next year.”

Metallica's new film, Metallica Through The Never, hit IMAX 3D theatres on September 27th and lands in theatres everywhere today, Friday, October 4th. A new clip from the movie, 'No Life Til Leather', can on now be seen below:

Earlier this week Metallica released Hit The Lights: The Making Of Metallica Through The Never - Chapter 11: The Action Stands Out.

Metallica had so much fun hanging out with you at the movies that they are hitting the streets again this weekend to celebrate the release of Through The Never. As the film spreads from IMAX theaters to many more 3D screens in North America, and opens in additional theaters in Europe, band members will be in a few theaters to say hello, introduce the film and take a few questions.

Bassist Robert Trujillo will be traveling to Phoenix, AZ and San Antonio, TX. Vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield will head to Stockton, CA and Sacramento, CA. Meanwhile, guitarist Kirk Hammett and drummer Lars Ulrich will visit friends in Europe. The full schedule is below.
