JIMI HENDRIX Christmas Tree Takes Centre Stage At Providence Health & Services Celebration

JIMI HENDRIX' sister, Janie L. Hendrix and Experience Hendrix, L.L.C. were the 2013 Presenting Artist at Providence Health & Services annual Providence O'Christmas Trees Celebration in Seattle, WA this week.
This year's Presenting Artist tree 'Experience Hendrix: A Tribute To Jimi' was produced by local designer Lisa Wise and Janie Hendrix, and featured three Fender Stratocaster guitars alongside a Mustang amplifier, Dunlop Jimi Hendrix wah-wah pedals, an original vintage concert poster from 1968, and an array of Jimi Hendrix memorabilia and decorative elements expressing Jimi's Cherokee heritage. All the monies raised during the three day event will help support Providence Senior and Community Services programs.
Wednesday's final Gala event was capped off with a special acoustic performance by Mato Nanji (lead guitarist/vocalist from the band INDIGENOUS) who performed a number of classic Jimi Hendrix songs.
