Earlier today it was announced that STRYPER's January 4th show at Stage 48 in New York City must be temporarily postponed.

Stryper frontman Michael Sweet now checks in with the following update: "To all of our devoted fans. Sadly we will not be able to perform the scheduled Stryper shows on January 3rd (Mohegan) and January 4th (NYC/Stage48) due to circumstances out of our control. We were well aware of the storm that was forecast to hit the east coast and we had everyone board planes to make an attempt to get here as originally planned.

Our crew and Tim made it to Rhode Island, but unfortunately Oz and Robert got stuck in Chicago with no way out. They have been at the airport all night and were not even able to get a hotel room for the night. We have tried multiple times to get them on another plane in order to move forward regarding the two shows but we keep getting bad news after bad news.

We've explored everything within our power to make this happen, but at this point it's truly an "act of God" and it's beyond our control. We regret to inform you all that we are left with no other choice but to reschedule the two shows for another date/time to be announced in the near future.

Please know that we never want to cancel any show and it saddens us to be forced to do so. We love you guys and we look forward to getting to play for you all soon. God bless you and stay safe."

Michael Sweet will release his new solo album, I'm Not Your Suicide, and his new book, Honestly, on May 6th. Complete details will be announced soon.

Sweet recently completed his long-awaited autobiography, Honestly: "Transcribed, edited and getting pressed soon! Forty chapters, almost 400 pages, and lots of heart and soul. Coming to a book store near you. Pre-orders even sooner at MichaelSweet.com."

Stryper stormed the charts with their new album, No More Hell To Pay, landing at #3 on the Current Hard Music Albums and Top Hard Music Albums charts, #6 on the Top Current Rock Album charts, #33 on the Billboard Top 200 Current Albums and #35 on the Billboard Top 200 selling over 9,500 copies the first week.

Stryper also regained their dominance on the Christian charts landing at #2 on the Contemporary Christian Albums and #3 on the Billboard Top Christian/Gospel Albums. No More Hell To Pay also reached #1 on the iTunes Top Rock Album Charts and #8 on the iTunes Top Album Charts when it was released on November 5th.

"We're humbled to be charting alongside some of the biggest and best in music today! We've worked hard to deliver the best Stryper record to date and we couldn't be more proud of No More Hell To Pay! The Yellow & Black Attack is back (well, we never really left). Here's to 30 more years and we'll see you on the road in 2014," exclaims frontman, guitarist and producer Michael Sweet.

Out via Frontiers Records, No More Hell To Pay is available in two formats - standard CD and deluxe digipak featuring exclusive video content.
