Phoenix, AZ-based black metal band PSYCHOBLISS has changed their name to SEVERED RECEPTORS ahead of the release of their upcoming EP. Severed Receptors is dark, female-fronted metal. Underlying black metal sets the foundation for a style that truly transcends the boundaries.

The band consists of the original members of PsychoBliss; Dan Stollings (guitars), and Kyla Stollings (vocals), but also welcomes guitarists Ian Durand and Jaron Elton, bassist Ryan Neeland, and drummer Michael Mistretta.

“We chose the name Severed Receptors because we feel it’s a more ‘mature’ expression of who we are musically.”

Severed Receptors is planning to support their yet-to-be-named upcoming EP with live performances when the album is released this spring. More information on the upcoming EP album will be announced very soon.
