Puerto Rico will hold its first ever Heavy Metal Expo Convention in 2014. Thrash Corner Records and Blood Stained World Entertainment will team up to bring this event to San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 29th and 30th, at La Respuesta.

“This will be a one of a kind event which will feature a whole different experience from what we are used to. Our main goal is to do this event once a year showing the international metal community that Puerto Rico has a very strong metal following and it’s here to stay”, commented Ray Lopez, Thrash Corner Records label manager and one of the masterminds behind the project.

During the two day event, fans will enjoy vendors, DIY seminars, music clinics by drummer extraordinaire Alex Marquez (SOLSTICE , MALEVOLENT CREATION) and PR’s guitar legend Ramon Ortiz (PUYA, ANKLA), live performances by HUMANIST, THRASH OR DIE, WARBRINGER, ANGER AS ART, plus metal legends BLOOD FEAST, SOLSTICE, SIX FEET UNDER and RAVEN. Also, there will be some comeback shows from several local bands like MASSIVE DESTRUKTION and Christian power thrashers DEATHLESS.

To raise the bar even higher, it will feature the trailer debut for what it would be the first documentary about the Puerto Rican metal scene, which will feature the past and present of the local metal scene and will leave no stone unturned. This project was done by Puerto Rico Heavy Metal Studies group under the leadership of Dr. Nelson Varas who already had international experience presenting their findings in several countries.
