The organizers of Sweden Rock Festival have confirmed that U.D.O. will replace Megadeth, who canceled their June 6th appearance at Sweden Rock earlier this week because of a death in the family of bass player Dave Ellefson. The festival management team are very happy that an artist as legendary as Udo Dirkschneider was able to step in at such notice and are confident that he and his band will deliver an excellent show.

Udo Dirkschneider became famous as the original voice of Accept. From there he moved on to U.D.O., that has kept the classic sound of Accept alive ever since their formation in 1987. 2013 saw them release their fourteenth album Steelhammer. This year U.D.O. will grace Sweden at SRF as well as touring with Sabaton. However, the fans don't have to worry that they will be repeating themselves. At SRF, the setlist will contain an expanded number of Accept classics. Which the crowd will probably not mind, especially since golden nuggets from the U.D.O. discography certainly won't be absent.

The Sweden Rock Festival will take place on June 4th-7th in Solvesborg, Sweden.
