Glide Magazine recently caught up with vocalist Sebastian Bach to discuss his new album, Give 'Em Hell. An excerpt is available below:

Glide: You come from a big family. Do you think that had any influence on your stage persona being so vivacious, like you had to show off to be noticed and heard?

Bach: "Wow, what an interesting question."

Glide: We can’t call you a wallflower, that’s for sure.

Bach: "Yeah (laughs). My dad was the center of attention in the room whenever he was in the room. He was a painter and artist, he had his own art gallery that he started and that’s all I ever heard about when I was a little boy at the dinner table. He would just go on and on and on about his art, and his skin would be covered in paint at all times. He wouldn’t wash it off and just be covered in this paint the whole time. And I remember one night at dinner I said, 'Dad, can we talk about something other than art please!' (laughs) And everybody started laughing. But I also learned from him 100% to take something in life that you love to do and then you’re never truly working. I mean, I play rock & roll and I tour the world and I sing music. What could be better than that? I learned that from him."

Produced, mixed and recorded by Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper) and mastered by Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie), Bach's new album Give 'Em Hell features writing and playing by very special friends and guest stars: Duff McKagan (Velvet Revolver, Guns N' Roses), John 5 (Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie) and Steve Stevens (Billy Idol). Rounding up the lineup on the album are Devin Bronson on guitars and Bobby Jarzombek on drums.
