Dani Filth (Cradle Of Filth) and Jyrki 69 (The 69 Eyes) have joined Northampton comic writer Alan Moore (Watchmen, The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen) in a Kickstarter video for a forthcoming independent graphic novel.

Fresh off the crowdfunding and critical success of Cradle of Filth: The Curse of Venus Avesra, writer Kurt Amacker returns to his roots with Dead Souls: Resurrection. Nearly five years in the making, the landmark miniseries returns in a special "author's cut" graphic novel.

In the year 2000, the immortal killers Vlad Dracula and Erzsebet Bathory have discovered each other in New Orleans. Neither understands why they are alive. Within days, the two set out to slaughter the city's criminals. But, their plan quickly falls apart when they attract the attention of both the police and St. Germaine - a religious fanatic who hunts their kind with a sacred weapon thought lost to the ages.

And, Vlad and Erzsebet are not alone. Across the globe, more and more of history's most infamous killers and tyrants are returning to life. And deep in Antarctica, a man from Vlad's past has amassed a paramilitary cult of immortals - and he wants Dracula at any cost. In Dead Souls: Resurrection, evil fights evil - and mankind is caught in the middle.

Initially, Dead Souls was Amacker's first miniseries. He began writing it while injured in the United States Marine Corps. The first issue launched in 2008 from Seraphemera Books, and quickly amassed both critical acclaim and a cult following. With the original three issues long out of print, Dead Souls: Resurrection retains the original script, but features all new art by RNA Brand artist Douglas Freeman - and also includes 70 new story pages, bringing the narrative closer to Amacker's original vision.

The above-mentioned video featuring Dani Filth and Jyrki 69 is available at this location, where the campaign will run until July 25th.
