The previously announced Greek dates for DEW-SCENTED have been cancelled by the concert organizers, Sold Out Promotion. Previous to this, GOD DETHRONED had cancelled their seperately arranged dates, again with the same organizers. The company has issued the following announcement, explaining the reasons that led to all these cancellations:

"We would like to inform all the fans of the reasons that led to the cancellation of the two live shows we had previously announced, God Dethroned and Dew Scented. What we requested was a re-negotiation of the deal we already had. After reevaluating the economical figures of the two particular shows, and after having seen the feedback we got after the announcement of the shows, we’ve come to the conclusion that they would turn out to be economic failures. Being a new booking agency we couldn’t have had the knowledge before having had our first live shows. From what we found out we were the only promoters in Greece who would be willing to give the bands a fee since everyone else already knew it would mean great loss. By wanting to re-negotiate the fee of the band, God Dethroned judged us to be unprofessional and cancelled the show. In fact in their announcement they say they cancelled before any harm was done. Truth is that the only harm that could have been done would be our economical disaster and nothing else. We were the ones to cancel the Dew Scented shows as it would be economically impossible to happen too. Even though Dew Scented is a great band which we admire and want to work with the feedback we’ve gotten indicates that it’s impossible in terms of economical figures for Greece. We would like to apologize to all parties involved and we will make sure that in the future nothing like that happens ever again as we now know that Greece is one of the toughest markets to organize shows in and giving a stepping stone to promising bands is still a very risky if not impossible venture."
