DANZIG Leader Takes His Tour In Doses

"Rocker GLENN DANZIG has spent most of his life on tour, which is why he is trying an experiment on the current Blackest Of The Black trek, which wraps in L.A. this week."I'm going to fly home after every two or three shows, whenever there's a break in between," he says. "If I'm not bouncing around on the tour bus all the time, maybe I can put up with doing small tours."The busy Danzig, who also runs his Verotik publishing company, says he wants time to devote to his other pursuits. "I hate bouncing around the tour bus for 22 or 23 hours a day and I feel like I'm wasting my time because I should be doing other sh*t," he says. "I'm such a workaholic that I feel like when I'm sitting around doing nothing, I'm sitting around wasting my life."
Which is not to say he doesn't enjoy performing. "I love being onstage, so maybe this will work." But he adds emphatically, "I can tell you for sure any kind of extended touring is not going to be in the future for Danzig. That's for sure."
