DESPISED ICON Part Ways With Guitarist; Seek Replacement

Singer Alex Erian from Montreal-based deathcore six-piece DESPISED ICON, has issued the following update:
"Hey everyone, some great and bad news to report. First, we'll start off with the good. We have our first European tour finally confirmed in March and April with UNEARTH, JOB FOR A COWBOY and DAATH. Should be an amazing tour. We want to thank Paul Conroy and everyone in the Unearth camp for hooking this up for us. Right before we leave, we'll be doing a bunch of Canadian and a few US dates with Job For A Cowboy.Next off, our guitar player, Yannick St-Amand will unfortunately be leaving the band to focus more on his family life. It’s hard to see him go. We can’t thank him enough for his contribution to this band and we’ll always remember the good times we all had. We wish him the best with his wife and new born child. Yannick will now be a full time studio engineer and producer, with our new record being next in line for him. The recording starts January 2nd! Yannick will produce everything, then head over to the UK with Eric to hook up with Andy Sneap (CRADLE OF FILTH, NEVERMORE), and oversee the mixing. Eric (Jarrin - guitar) and Alex (Pelletier - drums) have worked hard writing most of this record and we’re all stoked about it!
